Hede – Vemdalen GK

The 18-hole course in the middle of Hede is rarely beautiful next to the river Ljusnan and with the magnificent national park Sonfjället as your back drop. The course is characterized by large greens, first-rate fairways and interesting water hazards at most of the holes. New is that each hole now has four grass-tees from 4100 to 5900 meters. Much more is on its way – an ambitious improvement program started when new owners took over a couple of seasons ago.

Klövsjö – Vemdalen GK

35 km west of Hede lies Klövsjö-Vemdalen’s GK, with golf courses at significantly higher heights and with a completely different character. There is a beautiful 18 hole course that spreads over an old shieling and is full of surprises and challenges with narrow fairways and sudden level differences. Some of the course’s greens are actually built in three different levels.

Just as unique as this hilly golf courses design is, is the setting with the views of the mountain world in its finest summer days as you look across the country’s most beautiful mountain village Klövsjö. The 18-hole course is also complemented in an excellent way by the nine-hole “Fäbodbanan”. On this course it is pay & play that applies. Fäbodbanan is a dream for the youngest and for beginners in the gorgeous world of golf.

Competitions

The traditional golf weeks are always the highlights of the season at Klövsjö-Vemdalen Golf Course and at Hede-Vemdalen Golf Course. Almost every day for two weeks, a golf tournament is organized of the more easy-going kind – and the best of all is that everybody can participate regardless of handicap.

The first week of competitions will be played at Klövsjö-Vemdalen’s GK in july and then the fun continues on to Hede-Vemdalen GK. And the good life of the golf course must of course be supplemented with after-golf and laid-back restaurant life – and we also recommend taking some time to some of the other mountain adventures in the Vemdalen mountain range. Like fishing under magic evening sun, a nice mountain walk or a small bike adventure.

For those who have not yet received your needs for golf competitions, awaits further goodies before the season is over. It is “Fjälltouren” that plays in August. A classic when it comes to mountain golf. The golf competition is played on three of the most beautiful golf courses in the mountains: Klövsjö – Vemdalen Golf Course, Hede – Vemdalen Golf Course and Idre golf course.
