Swedish Fika
Having a fika is a social phenomenon, more than just having a coffee. It is a reason to set a side a moment for quality time with your family, friends or why not a quality time with yourself.
You can have fika at home, at work, outside in the forest or in a café. Fika can take place at any time of the day and is a moment to enjoy sweets like cinnamon buns, cookies, cakes and sandwiches. Normally you take your fika with a cup of coffee, a cup of tea, hot chocolate, soda or other coffee-drinks.
In Destination Vemdalen there are three fika places, three bakeries. One in Vemdalen city that is called Vemdalen´s bakery, one in Klövsjö called Klövsjö Stenugnsbageri and the third is called Lingers Café and is located at Vemdalsskalet on Skalets square. But you can also take a “fika” in the most of the restaurants in the area.
